This Long Term Care Program for PERA members and retirees was introduced in 1998 and is still open for enrollment. Active members, retirees, inactives, spouses, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents and grandparents-in-law are eligible to participate. This program is not available to children of any age. There is no age limit for this program, so if you are over 89 years of age, you are still eligible to apply for coverage.
The MedAmerica LTC Program is also managed by U.S. Care, one of the nation's oldest and most experienced long term care companies and insured by MedAmerica Insurance Company (A- rated by A.M. Best).
